LINDY HOP

Intermediate: You have been dancing for at least one year and feel comfortable with the swingout, lindy circle, tuck turn, charleston basics, and other basic 8 and 6 count material. In this level you will build up your lead and follow technique, musicality, learn classic lindy hop moves as well as new more challenging material, and improve your styling.

Intermediate/Advanced: You have been dancing couple of years and you can confidently dance all the basic patterns mentioned for the Intermediate level as well as variations on those patterns. There will be a lot of new material and different tempos to expand and improve your vocabulary of moves and technique.

Advanced:

As an advanced dancer, you are no stranger to the international dance circuit, frequently participating in workshops and festivals around the globe. Your dance style is deeply rooted in musicality, showcasing your expertise in rhythm, syncopation, and other advanced musical elements. You may also be imparting your knowledge and skills by teaching beginner or intermediate classes in your local community.

Advanced +:

Welcome to the pinnacle of dance mastery at Swing It Berlin 2024—our Advanced+ Level. This tier is designed for those who have comfortably navigated advanced classes at other festivals and may even be instructing the highest-level courses in their local scenes. Prepare yourself for an exhilarating array of challenges that will push your boundaries.

COLL. SHAG

The Collegiate Shag track is dedicated to Intermediate Shag dancers. You feel comfortable with the basic steps and are ready to take your Shag to the next level. Even if you are an experienced Shagger, come and learn Lotte’s & Jordan’s special Shag tricks.

BLUES DANCE

Join Élise & Adrien for an inspiring journey into the world of Blues dance. This open-level track is intended for dancers with at least an intermediate level in Swing partner dances, as a solid foundation in partner connection and musicality is expected.

Known for their outstanding teaching, elegance, and deep knowledge of the dance, Élise and Adrien place great importance on the history, culture, and origins of Blues. Their classes combine technique, creativity, musical interpretation, and authentic movement, offering a rich learning experience for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of this beautiful dance.

SOLO JAZZ

This track is open to everyone — whether you’re just starting out or already confident with classic jazz steps. We’ll explore essential Solo Jazz vocabulary and build up to playful variations and rhythmic challenges. Come as you are and grow at your own pace!
